Shriram Properties Limited (SPL) on Wednesday, announced  a strategic investment of $100 million into the company by US-based real estate investors and developers, Walton Street Capital. Walton’s investment will be in company’s equity capital.

Briefing media here,  SPL MD M Murali said that the new alliance and Walton Street Capital’s experience will help Shriram Properties reach new heights. Jeffrey Quicksilver, founding Principal of Walton Street Capital, said that along with the new investment ,they are also keenly looking to execute their expansion plans in India. 

SPL currently has projects under execution in Bangalore, Coimbatore, Calcutta and the IT SEZ space project in Chennai, which is the largest in South India. The company has also targeted Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Mysore, Jaipur, Pune and Cochin as future cities for expansion.
