Protest against Bescom
Gandhinagar Block Congress Committee on Wednesday took out a protest rally opposing an order of the Bescom asking slum-dwellers to pay power charge dues.

The committee president M Palakshaiah said that, the Bescom in its earlier order (dated April 19, 2007), had decided to waive the power charge dues of slum-dwellers as on March 31, 2006. But in its order dated October 15 this year, the company decided not to waive the dues and collect it with interest.
