PG Diploma in Nano-Biotechnology
LSFI is a non-profit organisation established for the promotion and popularisation of the emerging areas of science and technology. As part of its educational programmes, LSFI is introducing a new, innovative and cutting edge curricula based post-graduate diploma course in Nano-Biotechnology through distance mode.
Features of the course: This course is for a period of one year.

The course is focused on the essential fundamental knowledge about nanobiotechnology and its advanced biomedical applications, covering many topics like current research interest such as medical nanorobotics, artificial organ, DNA chip, smart bomb for cancer, nanodiagnostic tool for cancer, treatment nanosystem for heart, nanosurgeries, nanomanipulation system, nanofabrication, synthesis of nanomaterials, nano drug delivery system, nanobiotechnology for HIV virus and its diagnosis and treatment, etc.

The study material (books) will be provided from the department.

Students need to submit a project/dissertation/assignment for the fulfillment of the course. 
Students may be placed for industrial internships/workshops depending on the availability of opportunities.
Eligibility: Graduates/Post-graduates/Part-Time/Working professionals/Young Scientists with Life sciences disciplines background are eligible.

Candidates from Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, MBBS, Nursing, BioChemistry, Biology, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary and other disciplines with keen interest are all eligible.

Age should be above 18 years, with minimum 45 % in any of the qualifying examination.

One self-addressed envelope (9x12 inches) affixed with Rs. 10 stamps may be enclosed.

The DD shall be drawn in favour of  The Director, Department of Nanobiotechnology, LSFI payable at State Bank of Mysore, Huvinahadagali (Branch code is 4-0122).

International Programme in Management
IIM Lucknow has launched an International Programme in Management for Executives at its Noida Campus.
The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has launched its International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX), the first, full time, one-year residential executive programme at its Noida Campus.
The course was announced by the Institute recently and will commence from April 2008 at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow-Noida Campus.

The last date for the submission of completed forms is November 20, 2007. A core component of the programme is an international module of 4-5 weeks at Faculty of Management, McGill University, Montreal Canada.
The International Programme in Management for Executives is designed for mid/senior level professionals, to prepare them for leadership roles. The programme is designed to develop business education that is grounded in the Indian and international business environment. It will accelerate understanding of business at functional and strategic levels, and prepare students to manage enterprises engaged in global business. The curriculum would focus on a strategic understanding of business, rooted in practical skill development through action learning projects and industry interface.

The international exposure of a month and so at McGill University will provide students with the opportunity for an international learning experience to equip them with the knowledge and perspective relevant to current global business issues.

International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) is spread over 6 terms of 7 weeks each conducted over a 12 month period.  There would be 6 weeks of classes in each term followed by an exam week. The focus will be on case based learning, class discussions, seminars, simulated assignments/ field projects etc.
The course will offer specialisation in Finance and Economics, Marketing Strategy and Consulting, HRM, as well as Operations and Technology Management. The students can choose these as their Major and Optional Minor area of concentration.

Executives with a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent having minimum of 6 years full time post-qualification professional experience are eligible for the course. Candidates could be from private/ public sector/ government departments/ NGOs. They could also be professionals like doctors, architects / consultants/ defence personnel, civil servants or entrepreneurs.

The selection of the students would be based on their GMAT score (between January 1, 2004 to November 20, 2007), their Professional Experience and the Personal Interview. The fee for International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX) is INR 10,00,000 (USD 30,000) which includes tuition, cost of course material, library and computer facilities, accommodation and mess charges at the Noida Campus.

Diploma in Communication
The Regional Institute of English, Bangalore, is offering a One-year Diploma in Communication through distance mode. The minimum qualification is PUC/ 10+2 and the course fee is Rs 3,000. MBA & MSc
