Foreign media team consisting of media representatives from different countries like Pakistan, Bangla Desh, Philippines, Malaysia, Mangolia, paid a visit to the Asia’s first community-run Thermal Power Generation Unit, in Kabbege village of Tovinakere Gram Panchayat limits of Koratagere taluk, recently.
The media was informed about the activities of the Thermal Power Generation Unit, role of the community, various other facilities, related to the Unit.
They were also informed about gobar gas, irrigational facilities of the community, maintenance and production details. 14 media members including seven women members visited village and held discussions with Co-ordinating Officer of Green Power Project R Swaminathan.
