This year’s Makeup Nani Award will be presented to S Basavaraju, a well known makeup artist on November 3 in the City at HN Kalakshera, Jayanagar National College. DK Chowta, an industrialist and art lover, will present the award. The famous film and stage artists HG Somashekar Rao and Ramesh Bhat will be the chief guests at the programme.
The award is instituted by Antharanga Amateur Theatre group in the memory of late B N Nani, well known as Makeup Nani who had dedicated himself to back stage activities and had also acted in dramas of the group.
On the occassion, Antharanga will present Kailasam’s “Nam Kampni” drama sequences followed by theatre songs by gifted singers R Srinath, Narahari Dixit and Sai Tejas to enthrall the audience.
