PEOPLE'S PROBLEM
BBMP ignores resident woes

Electric crematorium

Now that Vidyamanyanagar and its surroundings have been included in the BBMP, I request the officials concerned to provide an electric crematorium at the burial gounds near Andhrahalli adjoining Vidyamanyanagar (west) in city.

Ample space is available here to start one. An early action in this regard would be highly appreciated.

K R Raghavendra Rao,
Vidyamanyanagar

No signal lights

The residents of Guptha Layout, Ulsoor and the surrounding areas are in dire need of signal lights and a skywalk near Millenia Building close to Ulsoor lake. The residents and those working in software companies around find it hard to cross the road because of the heavy truck traffic on this road. There are no zebra crossings, signal lights and no policemen manning the junction.

Srinivas,
Guptha Layout, Ulsoor

Bus stop needed

I request the KSRTC buses plying from Bangalore-Kunigal to stop the buses at Thippasandra post. It will help those who want to go to the nearby villages. Will the authorities look in to the matter?

Deplorable condition

I am a resident of Seshadripuram for the last 30 years and I wish to bring to your notice that the condition of the footpath on this busy road is deplorable and a hazard for pedestrians, especially the older citizens.

The stretch of footpath between the junction of the Upper Pipeline and RMS office is in a bad shape with uneven stone slabs/potholes.

This has been brought to the notice of the local BBMP authorities on several occasions and the elected representatives, but nothing has changed the situation.

Further, a stretch of road was widened at the junction of Link road, Seshadripuram while installing traffic signals about one year back. The widened road has not been asphalted. Sharp stones are protruding and causing inconvenience to motorists.

I request you to kindly depute our officials to inspect the deplorable condition of the footpath/road and take immediate action by re-laying the footpath and asphalting this small stretch.

T K Ramachandra,
Seshadripuram
