The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI), which had prosecuted Union Railway Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi in a disproportionate assets case, has now defended the Bihar politicians.

Filing an application before the Supreme Court, the investigating agency questioned the decision of the Patna High Court, which accepted an appeal by the Bihar government challenging their acquittal by the trial court.
