Army recruitment
A special recruitment drive is being organised by Army for the posts of Havildar Surveyor, Automated Cartographer and Junior Commissioned Officer (Religious Teacher-RRT 56 and 57). The recruitment office, HQ recruiting zone has laid out the eligibility criteria for these posts. For Surveyor and Automated Cartographer: Applications from male candidates from Karnataka, Kerala and Union territories of Lakshwadeep and Mahe. Age limit is 20 to 25 years as on March 24, 2008. Minimum educational qualification is BA/BSc with maths with a pass in Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised university. Selected candidates will have to appear for a written examination at the HQ recruiting zone in Bangalore on December 23.
For junior commissioned officer: Applications from male candidates for RRT 56 and 57 courses from districts of Bangalore, Mysore, Kolar, Mandya, Tumkur, Chamarajanagar, Belgaum, Bidar, Gulbarga, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Raichur, Koppal, Dharwad, Bellary, Haveri, Ramanagar,Chikkaballapur and Gadag. Applicants should be domiciled in Karnataka. Age limit is 27 to 34 years as on May 12, 2008 for RRT 56 and 27 to 34 years as on June 30, 2008 for RRT 57 courses respectively. Applications must be graduates in any discipline. Applications must be sent to HQ Recruiting Zone, 148, FM Cariappa Road, Bangalore 560001 before November 24.
BU’s notification
In continuation of the Bangalore University notification dated: September 22 and October 17, the last date for payment of examination fee and submission of application forms for BA, BFA, B Sc, BCA, B Com, BBM, BHM, BLib courses are extended as follows: With special fine of Rs 300 in addition to usual fee and fine November 11 and submission of application by the college to the university is November 13.
