City-based Kannada Rakshana Vakeelara Vedike president staged an Upavasa Sathyagraha in Bangalore on Wednesday,.They sought steps to make delivery of orders and decrees in Kannada, compulsory in all subordinate courts across the State.They also sought constitutional amendment for the use of Kannada in the High Court.

Vedike president M K  Vijaykumar staged a fast in front of the High Court premises from morning till evening on Wednesday, while harldy seven other advocates including office-bearers of the Vedike had joined him for dharna.
The protestors were not permitted to hold dharna inside the fenced premises of the High Court, and the same was held in front of the Court premises.
