An application was filed before the Assembly Speaker Krishna on Wednesday, seeking summoning of senior JD(S) leader M P Prakash in connection with the petitions filed seeking disqualification of 40 JD(S) MLAs, including former CM H D Kumaraswamy.
Mr Vatal Nagaraj (Vatal Party) and Mr S Rajendran (RPI), in their application, submitted it was necessary to summon Mr Prakash, who was the JD(S) Legislature Party leader on January 18, 2006 when Mr Kumaraswamy formed a government with the BJP. “On that day, Mr Prakash was removed as JD(S) Legislature Party leader and summoning him as witness is necessary under the circumstances”, they have said.
