IT'S SAFFRON ALL THE WAY
Bangalore, DHNS:
The very circle near the Mahatma Gandhi statue on MG Road, where the slogan 'Appa Kalla Maga Sulla' had echoed a month ago, has turned saffron to greet Chief Minister-in-waiting B S Yeddyurappa.

After portraying former prime minister H D Deve Gowda and his former chief minister son H D Kumaraswamy as betrayers across the State, through the Dharma Yatra,  banners showing friendship between Yeddyurappa and Kumaraswamy are once again in place at all important places.

“We have placed around two lakh flags in various junctions of the City besides a large number of banners and posters of BJP greeting Yeddyurappa,” said a BJP functionary.

He added that around 80,000 people are expected to witness the oath-taking ceremony on Monday at Vidhana Soudha.

Half-day holiday

A half-day holiday has been announced for all offices in Vidhana Soudha on Monday for the swearing-in
ceremony of the new Chief Minister.

Offices functioning in the Vidhana Soudha will be closed till 1.30 pm due to security reasons, as several VVIPs are likely to attend the function. However, all the offices operating from Vikas Soudha will function as usual.
