BMTC revises Volvo bus fares
The BMTC has made minor changes in its fare structure for its high-end Volvo buses (Vajra). The changes are applicable to Route Nos V 2, 340N, 402B, 500K, 500L and 365.
Chief Traffic Manager (Operations), Dastagir Sherieff said the revised fare has been prepared on a stage-wise basis. Under the new fares, the minimum charge would be Rs 10 while the maximum will be Rs 55.
“We have decided to revert to the earlier fare on select stages based on demand on select routes.
The change is neither an hike nor a decrease in fares as the minimum has been kept unchanged while we have hiked it marginally in some stages,” he said.
