No power supply

Bangalore,dhns: There will be no power supply today from 9 am to 3 pm. The affected areas are as follows Muthyalanagara, Jalahalli Village, Doddabommasandra, Ramachandrapura, Abbigere, K G Halli, Vaderahalli, Lakshmipura, BEL Industrial Area, BEL Colony, Bahubalinagar, Sundar Nagar and surrounding areas.

Award to aid students

Governor Rameshwar Thakur on Sunday said cultural activities should be a part of education.

Speaking at the inauguration of ‘Pratibha Karanjee 2007’, he said for the last five years, the State government has been conducting Pratibha Karanjee, which has served as a platform for the students to showcase their talents. 

Secretary to Primary and Secondary Education T M Vijay Bhaskar said, “Rs 2 crore is allocated for this programme every year.” Students should also actively participate in co-curricular activities along with their studies, he observed.
