“Everyone should respect other profession,” said Dental Council of India Vice-President Prof Bhaskar Rao.
Speaking at the inauguration of Indian Society of Prosthodontics Restorative Periodontics here on Sunday, he said medical profession has expanded with many specialisations. Any physician in the beginning of his career has to face lot of challenges.
Later, people start visiting him looking at his professionalism. Medical practitioner will be successful only if he respects others in the field and shows concern towards the patients, he added.
Prof Rai said the Society is the first of its kind in India, which aims at providing a common platform for the specialists in the field of prosthodontics restorative and periodontics to interact. This kind of inter-disciplinary society is the need of the hour, to provide better dental care to the patients. New York University Lecturer Prof Herold I Sasman spoke on the occasion.
