The black market is thriving in Kolar right under the nose of the officials but still nothing is done to curb these activities. Consumers today are cheated at every level and there is virtually no authority to check this.

The private business people who are the major players, are looting the people by selling even the essential food items meant for the public distribution. Though the concerned departments are aware of it no steps have been taken by them to stop this.

The black market is thriving because of the officials tacit support in these activities.

Adulterated petrol, diesel and kerosene is sold openly in some parts of the city. Though it is prohibited to sell these items elsewhere apart from bunks the sale of adulterated petrol, diesel and kerosene is rampant in the city.

Warn people

The authorities concerned should warn the people of the dangers involved in the sale of these fuels.

People should be cautioned about nailing the responsibility in the wake of any fire disaster which accompanies this business. 

The illegal sale of these fuels has been in existence for some time in Kolar. Though police had raided some them they have once again mushroomed in the city.

Another peril involved in the illegal sale of the adulterated fuels is the sale of these at the prohibited place. One of the main reason for the increase in these activities is the inactiveness of the officials of the Public and Civil Supplies Department.

People allege that there is big racket behind the sale of these adulterated fuels and one of the main reason for their survival is the support of the officials concerned.

Flourishing

A year ago people selling adulterated fuel were raided and the case was transferred to Public and Civil Supplies Department. In spite of this the business flourishing in the open market.    

People are expecting a lot from the SP B Dayanand who has successfully controlled this business  elsewhere. It has to be wait and watched whether he will successfully curb this  even here.
