BJP in celebration mode
Kolar Gold Fields,dhns: KGF wore a festive look on Monday, two days after Diwali, as the BJP workers burst crackers as part of their celebration of the historic moment - Yeddyurappa swearing in as the first BJP chief minister in the South. 
Celebrating this historic feat of the party in the South in this year, BJP workers distributed 2007 laddus to people and traders in the City.
Nearly thousand party workers who had gathered at Surajmal circle and Gandhi circle raised slogans in support of BJP and Yeddyurappa.

Former minister G T Devegowda will speak on the 54th All India Cooperative week Bangalore Doordarshan’s Chandana channel.
The programme will be telecast on November 13 night at 10 pm and 14th  morning at 9 am, said Kolar district Cooperative Federation chief executive officer K Mallaiah, in a release.
New president for ‘D’ Group
Minor irrigation department’s K N Lakshman has been appointed as the president of the Kolar District Government ‘D’ Group Employees Association. The appointment follows after the post fell vacant following the death of K N Veerasena who was the president.
This decision was taken at a meeting held recently.
N Nagaraju has been selected as the vice president and Kadirappa as secretary, said a release.
