Mr Narayen, currently President & Chief Operating Officer, will take over his new responsibility from December one and also join the Board of Director of the company.

The 43-year-old had also occupied several high management positions at Apple before founding photo-sharing software company Pictra. Mr Narayen’s promotion reflects Adobe’s strategy to ensure a planned succession of the company’s senior leadership.
