The ambulance has been fitted with ultra-modern equipment including air-conditioning facility, ventilator, monitor, defibrillator, pneumatic splints, oxygen and suction facility, to take care of patients requiring high vigil in highly critical conditions. It offers both basic life support and advanced life support systems. Speaking at a function organised to mark the inaugural of the ambulance at the conference hall in the hospital, Mr Shankar, who has won the Rajyotsava Award this year, hoped that the ambulance will be put to the right use. He also requested the hospital management to provide treatment at concessional rates for the patients from Udupi and Byndoor region. Hospital President A J Shetty said the hospital has completed six years of service and has been committed to providing efficient service through introducing modern equipment and upgrading facilities.
