District administration had fetched Rs 13.72 lakh from the sand tendering in 11 acres of land in eight villages of Somwarpet and Madikeri taluk on Tuesday.
In Madikeri taluk, district administration fetched Rs 2.25 lakh for one acre in Baadaga village, Rs 2.35 lakh in Kadiyathurur and Rs 3.56 lakh in Kattemadu village.
In Somwarpet taluk, tender was called for seven acres of land in five villages which fetched Rs 5.56 lakh. This include Rs 3.74 lakh in Kelakodli, Rs one lakh in Mallyapura, Rs 25,000 in Uriguthi, Rs 45,000 in Mavinahalli and Rs 12,000 in Bembalooru.
The tendering process could not be carried out in Virajpet owing to the petitions by the localites.
