Lakshmi, who underwent a surgery for the removal of parasitic twin, had a special guest on Wednesday, who not only visited her and her family, but also handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh towards her treatment.
Chief Minister B S Yedyurappa, along with Cabinet minister R Ashok, Dr V S Acharya and BJP leader Katta Subramanya Naidu, visited two-year-old Lakshmi Tatma in her ward at Sparsh Hospital, Narayana Health City, Bangalore, on Children’s Day.
“The Chief Minister enquired about her health and progress. We gave him a presentation on Lakshmi, before and after the surgery. He was very happy to know we could do the correctional surgery, to disengage parasitic twin from Lakshmi in Bangalore,” said Dr Sharan Patil, chairman, Sparsh Hospital.
Mr Yeddyurappa signed a cheque for Rs 1 lakh in the name of Sparsh
Hospital and handed it over to Lakshmi’s father Shambhu.

“The money is meant for the child. We will hand over the money after encashing the cheque. The Chief Minister and Mr Ashok also saw Lakshmi in her ward. They complimented the team for the surgery,” said Dr Patil.
