JD (S) leader H D Revanna is upset. It is not because he is not becoming the Deputy CM but because his partyman Cheluvarayaswamy is planting stories in the media over ‘differences’ between him and his brother H D Kumaraswamy.
It is learnt Revanna’s blowing off his steam against Cheluvarayaswamy, a close confidant of Kumaraswamy, at the JD (S) Legislature Party meeting on Wednesday, surprised the legislators.
Efforts by Kumaraswamy to pacify his brother went in vain, sources added.
Revanna charged Cheluvarayaswamy with planting stories that Gowda siblings have major differences over DyCM’s post. “Several media reports painted me as a culprit,” he said.
In a fit of anger, Revanna is learnt to have said he will not accept any ministerial position in the Cabinet.
Later, Kumaraswamy told reporters there were no differences in the party.
