Harshil. Most people will not have heard of this place. Only a lucky few, those who were part of films like Ram Teri Ganga Maili for instance, may remember about this quaint village. They may also remember how hard it was to shoot in such biting cold. Now, this village is in the news after significant portions of producer-actor-turned-director Vishnukant’s Ganga Kaveri was shot here. The unit comprised 160 artistes, excluding the technical crew. Now, those who find it difficult or downright impossible to undertake a trip of all the holy sites situated in the Himalayas, take heart.

    For, the film has been shot in Bagodi, Bajori, Batawadi, Gangotri, Hardwar, Hrishikesh and other naturally and spiritually beautiful places. Producer -director duo Venkatappa and Vishnukanth, however say that they will be going back shortly to film more scenes. So, we may expect to have a darshan of almost all the shrines there.
