Carnatic concert
Music Circle is organising a carnatic vocal concert by  S Srinivasan on November 18 between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm at the basement of the Basaveshwara House Building Co-operative Society Ltd, 7th Cross, II Main, Chandra Layout (Behind Canara Bank), Vijayanagar. He will be accompanied by Ganesh Vishwanathan on vocal support, Nagraj on the Violin and Varadarajan on the Mridangam.

Felicitation programme
Shri Shyamacharan Lahiri Lalitha Kala Academy is organising ‘Nada Lahiri’ to felicitate Bheemappa Gonal, Chairman, KPSC on November 17 at 5.30 pm at Gayan Samaj. There will be a flute recital by Pravin Godkhindi and a vocal recital by Padma Talwalkar with accompanists Udayraj Karpur and Ravindra Katoti.

Music festival
The Vashmi Academy of Music Trust in association with Rotary Bangalore West is organising Karthik Music Festival 2007 and the 9th Anniversary of the Academy from November 16 to 18 at the Rotary Bangalore West Sivler Jubilee Auditorium, 13th main, 4th cross, Malleshwaram. The schedule for the event is as follows - Inauguration at 5 pm on November 16 followed by  Navanad Jugalbandi Vocal concert at 6 pm, the Grand  Navanad violin duet concert  6 pm on November 17 and Valedictory at 5 pm on November 18 followed by the honouring and bestowing of titles and the Navanad Vamshi — Kumcha programme at 6 pm.

Vocal concert
Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha Trust is organising a music recital by Vidwan H N Meera (vocal) in memory of H R Ramachandra at Sri Vani Vidya Kendra, No 1246, IV Main Road, II Cross, E Block, Rajajinagar on November 18 at 5 pm. Jyothsna Manjunath, M A Krishnamurthy and M Gururaj will be accompanying her.

Thematic concert
Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira and Sri Thirunarayana Trust is organising Karthikotsava 2007, special thematic music concert by Neela Ramagopal at Sri Rama Kasla Mandira concert hall, 9th Main Road, Banashankari II Stage on November 18 at 5 pm.

Bharatanatyam recital
As part of the Every Friday Cultural Evening Programme, Prakruthi Hosakere will be performing Bharatnatyam on November 16 at 6.30 pm at Yavanika, Nrupathunga Road.

Dance performance
The Kathak Rangamanch Pravesh of Smitha Srinivasan, disciple of Nandini K Mehta and K Murali Mohan will be held on November 18 at 6.30 pm at ADA Rangamandira, J C Road, Opp Ravindra Kalakshetra.

The Bangalore Lalitha Kala Parishat is is staging a drama ‘Alegalalli Antharanga’ at Dr H N Kalakshetra, National College Jayanagar on November 16 at 6.30 pm. The play stars Seetha Kote and is written by Vaidehi and directed by Krishna Murthy Kavathar.

Kannada play
Sanchaya in association with Rangashankara presents a Kannada play, “Bahumukhi” written by Vivek Shanbhag and directed by Surendranath. The play will be staged at Rangashankara, J P Nagar, at 7.30 pm on Saturday and 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm on November 18.
