Yeddy to meet party leaders in Delhi

On his maiden visit to the national capital after taking over as chief minister, B S Yeddyurappa will be meeting the BJP national leaders in New Delhi on Friday.


He is also expected to visit Vaishno Devi shrine to pay his obeisance. It was during his visit to the Vaishno Devi temple in Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir on November 8 that President’s rule was revoked in the State. He also received a call from Governor Rameshwar Thakur inviting him to form the government during his pilgrimage to the shrine.
Meanwhile, Mr Yeddyurappa left for New Delhi on Thursday evening.
He is expected to meet BJP leaders and discuss with them the modalities of the Cabinet expansion slated after the vote of confidence in the Assembly on November 19.
