Authorities Deny Pak Stand
New Delhi, Nov. 16.
Authoritative circles here strongly repudiated Pakistan’s reported contention before the World Bank that it would take so long to repair the link canals in Pakistan, damaged by this year’s Chenab and Ravi floods, that implementation of the ad hoc agreements permitting panned withdrawal of the waters of the eastern rivers by India would have to be stayed.
Pak Welcomes Graham Mission
New York, Nov. 16.
Britain, the United States and three other Powers today tabled a resolution to have Dr Frank Graham, UN Representative for India and Pakistan visit the sub-continent in search of a settlement of the Kashmir problem.
The resolution is expected to be debated in the coming week.

Akalis Not To Enter Asiad Stadia
New Delhi, Nov. 16.
Claiming that thousands of Akali volunteers had reached the capital, Akali leaders Prakash Singh Badal and Gurcharan Singh Tohra said today that they had directed their workers to offer only peaceful satyagraha and not enter any Asiad stadia.
They said they had come here to finalise a new strategy for their agitation during the Games.
