H D Deve Gowda’s MoU seems to have taken a new avatar: “the working agenda of Karnataka Development Front” (KDF).
Even though the Dal officially stuck to its stand that it wanted an MoU to be inked with the BJP, copies of “the working agenda” typed on a stamp paper, appeared in the City. The JD(S) categorically disowned the “working agenda”.
KDF is what the Dal and BJP had christened their front when they sewed it up in early 2006. Curiously, the “working agenda” doesn’t have several of the points proposed by Gowda in his original MoU dated November 1. In fact, it has several additional points including a demand for more portfolios to the Dal, according to sources.
The fresh points in the “working agenda” include DyCM’s post for H D Kumaraswamy; CM to head KDF; co-ordination committee chairmanship for D V Sadananda Gowda; posts of chiefs of boards and corporations to be shared on 55:45 basis between the Janata Dal(Secular) and BJP.
