*India's six-wicket victory has enabled them to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series. India and Pakistan have played one-to-one series in India on four occasions earlier and Pakistan had won three and India one. In 1983, India had won both the matches in the two-match series, in 1986 Pakistan had won all six matches in in the six-match series, in 2004 Pakistan won the only match played and in 2005 Pakistan won four matches in the six-match series.
*Mohammad Yousuf became the first Pakistan batsman to remain unbeaten on 99 in one-day international matches. He joins seven other unlucky batsmen who fell short of the hundred-run mark by one run at the end of an innings. BA Edgar (NZ vs Ind at Auckland on 14-Feb-1981), DM Jones (Aus vs SL at Adelaide on 28-Jan-1985), RB Richardson (WI vs Pak at Sharjah on 15-Nov-1985), A Flower (Zim v Aus at Harare on 24-Oct-1999), ADR Campbell (Zim v NZ at Bulawayo on 01-Oct-2000), RR Sarwan (WI vs Ind at Ahmedabad on 15-Nov-2002) and BJ Hodge (Aus vs NZ at Melbourne on 04-Feb-2007) are the seven batsmen in the unlucky club.
*When Ganguly trapped Shahid Afridi leg-before for one, he reached 100 wickets in one-day international cricket. With 11363 runs in 311 matches, Ganguly is only the third player after Sachin Tendulkar (15932 and 154 wkts in 406 matches) and Sanath Jayasuriya (12207 runs and 307 wkts in 403 matches) in the formidable club of 10000 runs and 100 wkts in one-day international cricket history.
*Playing in his 144th match, Zaheer Khan completed 200 wickets in his ODI career. Khan is the fifth Indian to reach the milestone. Kumble (337 wkts in 271 matches), Srinath (315 wkts in 229 mts), Agarkar (288 wkts in 191 matches) and Kapil Dev (253 wkts in 228 matches) are ahead of him.
*Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed in the nervous nineties for the sixth time this year. He has scored just one century this year (100* vs WI at Baroda on 31-Jan-2007).
