Arjun stars in drawn match

Arjun Gowda made an unbeaten 100 (120b, 12x4, 1x6) as Bangalore City called the shots on the final day of their drawn two-day encounter against Raichur Zone in the KSCA inter-zonal under-17 tournament.
Having dismissed Raichur for 156 in reply to their own 342 for eight declared, the City lads opted to bat on, and Gowda himself to a stroke-filled century.
Earlier in the day, Nagaraj Chauhan had played a lone hand in making an unbeaten 92 (148b, 15x4) for Raichur.
The President’s XI-Mysore Zone encounter too ended in a draw.
Brief scores: Bangalore City: 342/8 decl in 85 overs and 178/3 in 39 overs (Arjun Gowda 100 n.o., Liyan Khan 51) drew Raichur Zone: 156 all out in 48 overs (Nagaraj Chauhan 92 n.o.; David Mathias 5-40, Liyan Khan 2-54, Prashanth Poojar 2-36).
President's XI: 333/9 decl in 76.2 overs and 118/3 in 27 overs (Abhijith 50 n.o., Manish S 48; Somashekar 2-35) drew Mysore Zone: 203 all out in 67.5 overs (Rohith Tiwari 76, Somashekar 33; KP Rohan 4-59, Bharath Kondajji 4-25).
In Shimoga: Combined City XI: 248 all out in 88.3 overs and 51/1 in 8 overs (Suhas D 31) drew Mangalore Zone: 222 all out in 77.4 overs (Nishith Raj 48, Sachin V Bhat 63, KL Rahul 31; Akay Singh 2-31, Harshith Urs 6-59, Bharath Kashayap 2-48).
In Bhadravati: Bangalore Zone: 142 all out in 70.1 overs (Nihal Unni 46, Subhash Angadi 40; Shamik Kolankar 3-35, Ajay B Patil 2-7, Zeeshan Sayed 2-12) and 121/6 in 40 overs (Nihal Unni 32, GS Chiranjeevi 36; Zeeshan Syed 2-10, Sachin  Shinde 3-27) drew Dharwad Zone: 118 all out in 64.3 overs (Neelesh Patil 34; Sarfaz Shekh 3-16, S Rohith 4-32, Shivam Bajaj 3-35) and 26/0 in 16 overs.
