According to complainant, Bimaljeet Johar, Johar Group President booked two plane tickets from the Ezeego One Travels and Tour through their website www.ezeego1.com. The travel company was offering 25 percent cash back offer on ICICI credit cards. Bimaljeet told Deccan Herald, she registered with the travel agency and got the booking reference EZR-2007-239509/A.
The tickets were for the Jetlite Airlines for November 14 for Bangalore-Delhi and Delhi-Bangalore on November 21. She said, the booking was confirmed via email and she received an itinerary email. She paid Rs 7,324 for the two tickets.
On November 8, she again booked a ticket for her son for Bangalore-Delhi for December 2 (PNR: S2-J535D), Jetlite Airlines, under the same cash back offer. This time the booking reference was EZR-2007-312280/A and the cost of the ticke was Rs 4114.
She was taken aback when she reached airport and learnt that her PNR was not confirmed because the Ezeego company did not pay money to the Jetlite. Not only her ticket but also her son’s ticket was also not confirmed.
She was shocked when she tried to contact the Ezeego ‘helpdesk’, but there was no response. The Jetlite officials asked her to pay more money to buy tickets if she wanted to travel.
After reaching home she again tried to contact Ezeego helpdesk but in vain. At last she lodged an FIR with the Airport/HAL police asking them to register an offence under the cyber fraud and cheating.
This paper too tried to contact the customer care number 1800220177 of the Ezeego One Travels and Tour but there was no response from the other end.
