To provide special training for those who are dull in studies, Kalika Andolana Parihara Bhodana programme was launched in the district, said Nodal Officer K S Maalathesh.
Under the unique programme, 25,000 students will be taught by 5,342 teachers for an hour daily. This will include 1,582 schools, 98 clusters and 8 Blocks.
“Several studies have shown that some students were lagging behind in some skills. They will be encouraged to study by identifying their weaknesses. By quality education and empowerment of education, we can create confidence in the minds of the children,” the release stated.
He clarified that Kalika Andolana Parihara Bhodana programme is applicable for school dropouts, those who enrolled to schools after drop out for several years. This is not revision of school syllabus.”
Six resource persons have been trained in every district. As many as 7,935 books have been distributed among the teachers for the purpose of teaching. Writing materials worth Rs 40,000 have been distributed among the children.
