Three photographers namely Prabhakar from Arpitha Studio Kuloor, G K Hegde of Vijaya Karnataka daily and Lathesh Kadri from Kudupu Nadumane have bagged first three places respectively in the Shree Krishnavesha Photo Competition instituted by Kalkura Prathishtana.

The three winners were given away with prizes and felicitated at Mangalore Press Club on Thursday by senior artiste M R Pavanje.

Addressing the gathering, Kalkura Prathishtana President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura said that after receiving outstanding response for Krishna Vesha competition, the Prathishtana thought of encourgaing the lensemen who come out with some of the wonderful pictures of the children every year and hence the photo competition was started during 2005-06.

Mr Kalkura said that this year there were 52 entries, of which the best three have been critically hand picked by senior photographers and experts from the field.
