Grievances meet held

A grievances meeting on food security was held at DC office on Saturday.
CEO K Sundar Naik received seven applications and directed the officials to dispose off after scrutinising it soon. Most of the applications were related to the discrepancies in the distribution of BPL ration card.
He said that mid-day meal programme is being implemented properly in the district.

He called upon the district, taluk officials to pay surprise visit to schools to check the implementation of Akshara Dasoha programmes and submit a report on the same.

State-level PU College students table tennis tournament will be held at Mountain View PU College between November 20 and 21.

Krishi mela on Nov 30

Mudigere Agriculture Research Centre will organise Krishi mela and seminar on new varieties of paddy, agricultural technology at the Centre on November 30. According to a press release, the seminar will include talk on high yield variety of seeds, production of bio fuel, fresh water prawn cultivation, exhibition of cattle and information stalls.
