‘Spandana 2007’ from Dec 8
The Dayananda Sagar Institutions and the Heart and Soul Foundation will organise a social awareness event titled ‘Spandana 2007’ on December 8 and 9. The event to be held at the football ground, Dayananda Sagar Institutions, Shavige Malleswara Hills, Kumaraswamy Layout will showcase the rehabilitation and development work taken up by various NGOs of the city in the areas of adoption, disability, child labour, and street children. The event will kick off on December 8 with an awareness march around the venue by 5,000 students. On December 9, around 1,000 differently abled children will be treated to a Christmas party at the venue. For details, call 94483 78949.

Carnatic music festival
Sri Tirunarayana Trust and Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira will conduct Kartikotsava 2007- the seventh annual Carnatic Music Festival. This festival is organised in memory of Tiruvaimozhi Acharya Purusha Sri Tiruvengada Ramanujachar. Thematic concerts by eminent artistes are being held on 5 successive Sunday evenings starting from November 18 till Dec 16.
