To give a boost to art and culture in North Karnataka, the Government is contemplating to celebrate ‘Dharwad Utsav’ on a grand scale and treat it as a state-level event along with other five district cultural festivals, including Hampi Utsav.

Disclosing this at a function held as part of ‘Dharwad Utsav’ here on Sunday, Director  of Kannada and Culture Department Manu Baligar observed that ‘Dharwad Utsav’, being conducted in the cultural capital of North Karnataka, was unique in many ways and deserved state-level status.
