Speaking to news persons at the end of his meeting with JD (S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy at a five-star hotel, Yeddyurappa said there was ‘no threat’ to his seven-day old BJP-led government in the State and all the differences between the two parties had been sorted out.
Will complete
“I’m 100 per cent confident that I will win the trust-vote and this government will complete it’s 19-month term,” Yeddyurappa remarked.
While Yeddyurappa was accompanied by Sadananda Gowda, R Ashok and Katta Subramanya Naidu during talks, the JD (S) camp was represented by Merajuddin Patel, H D Revanna and D T Jayakumar besides Kumaraswamy. The talks, held immediately after the JD (S) legislature party meeting, lasted nearly 45 minutes.
When his attention was drawn to the JD (S) demand for signing 12-point MoU before the confidence vote, Yeddyurappa however said that Kumaraswamy would give details. “If any difficulties are there, our national leader Yashwant Sinha would sort them out,” he added.
Sorted out
Kumaraswamy, who also spoke after the two leaders met, said, the problem that had cropped up between the two parties would be sorted out.
“We are holding discussions, and we will continue to do so. I’m sure the problem will be settled,” he added.
At one stage, Kumaraswamy contended that there were no real differences between JD (S) and BJP and the imaginary differences were the creations of media.
Kumaraswamy also declined to divulge more details of his talks with Yeddyurappa.
