The Excise officials on Monday seized 45 litres of illicit liquor at Veerappan plantation in Urigaumpet of the city.
 Acting on a authentic information the officials raided the place on Monday morning.

In the 6 hour operation officials were successful in nabbing four people Nathan (55), Kamal (25), Karna (27) and Ramesh Babu (23) who are the residents of the Urigaumpet. The accused have been handed over to the judicial coustody. The officials have also seized distillery equipment from the place.

  The officials were lead by the L A Manjunath ( D O S P Excise Department) and Inspectors Chaavan, Vanajakshi, Bukari, Krishnappa and H Vishwanath in the sudden raid.
