The government has sanctioned the Rs 1.45 crore worth project to supply water to Sakharayapattana from Ayyanakere. A sum of Rs 25 lakh has been released to Gram Panchayat, said MLA S L Dharmegowda.
He was speaking after inaugurating various developmental works worth Rs 3.50 crore under Suvarna Gramodaya Yojane.
He said under Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana, six primary schools have been sanctioned for Birur limits
A sum of Rs 6.50 lakh each has been released to construct school buildings at Jaansal Estate, Gandhi Nagara, Neerugundi Thandya, Saraswathipura Thandya, Devarahalli and Ropeline villages. The work will commence soon.
BEO Mani, Gram Panchayat President Kushala Gowda was present.
