Man murders wife

 In a bizarre incident, a man killed his wife using a scissor at Mangaje in Kariangala village of Bantwal taluk on Sunday evening.  According to police, the deceased has been identified as Akshitha (20). The accused is her husband Santhosh Belchada (24). He had married her six months ago. Suspecting her character, he stabbed her chest with a scissor. Though she was rushed to the hospital, she breathed her last en route to the hospital owing to profuse bleeding.
 
Man killed

A person was killed when a lorry which he was driving dashed against wooden logs in Panambur police station limits on Monday.  According to police, the deceased has been identified as Janardhan Gowda.

Gold stolen

Some unidentified miscreants have stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh and a cash of Rs 1,000 from a lodge at K S Rao Road in Mangalore.   According to police, a certain Poornima, a resident of Bangalore had come to Mangalore to attend a wedding and was staying in a lodge. She found her ornaments missing in the morning. 

Breakthrough

Police have achieved a breakthrough in a theft case wherein gold ornaments worth Rs 25 lakh were stolen after killing a old lady at Kooveccharu in Ramakunja 22 days ago.

Though the police had formed four special teams to nab the culprits, there was a set back in the probe as they failed to get any clue on the whereabouts of the suspected couple who looted the house. The police have got clue of the whereabouts of the culprits.

ASP Dr Harsha said the case has not been handed over to CCB. We will have a clear picture on the whereabouts of the culprits within two days and the suspects will be nabbed within a week, he added.
