Perfume for dogs sets tails wagging in UK

Britain may be a nation of animal lovers, but even the most indulgent owners may turn their noses up at the latest canine gift — perfume for dogs. A London store launched an eau de toilette for pampered pooches on Monday that costs 38 pounds ($78.60) for a 50ml glass bottle, reports Reuters from London.

Upmarket pet shop Mungo & Maud hired perfumer Lyn Harris to create a fragrance exclusively for man’s best friend.

The result is “a gentle fragrance inspired by nature with notes of French blackcurrant, Tunisian neroli, mimosa and violet leaf on a base of sweet vanilla bourbon with a little almond”. The shop's creative director Nichola Sacher said she hoped the perfume, called Petite Amande, would “refresh the dog and appeal to the human nose”.

Portman tops style list

"Star Wars" star Natalie Portman has topped a new style list, beating Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore, reports IANS from London.

Portman has been named number one on the InStyle magazine Style 20. Contactmusic.com reports that the magazine picked her because "she exhibits unwavering faith in the cut and quality of a great dress". The top 10 style divas are:  Natalie Portman, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Sienna Miller, Helen Mirren and Joy Bryant.

Shakira won’t go nude

Colombian pop star Shakira has pulled out of what would have been her movie debut in an adaptation of "Love in the Time of Cholera" written by her friend Gabriel Garcia Marquez because she didn't want to appear nude in the film, reports IANS from London.

The singer now wants to make her debut after making careful considerations saying, "The script, the character, the director, it all has to come together to assure me that I'll be protected. I have a responsibility to my public, so I don't want to get into something that could fail."

Hilton’s new sex taped

After serving a jail sentence, Paris Hilton had sworn to lead a clean life but those plans seem to have gone awry, reports IANS from London. A news sex tape featuring her completely naked has surfaced online.

A website called parisexposed.com released the footage online, although Hilton obtained a temporary injunction against them, thesun.co.uk reports.

In the tape she swims around in a huge bath and soaks herself with a showerhead playfully.Rumours abound that the tape was found earlier this year when she forgot to pay the rent on her storage vault.

The footage has also surfaced on YouTube.com with other versions available on the other US websites.

Dion aims for Oscar

Singer Celine Dion dreams about winning an Oscar for her portrayal of the late opera star Maria Callas in a biopic, reports IANS from London.

She admitted she has recurring dreams of her acceptance speech after winning an Oscar, contactmusic.com reports.

She said, "In my dream I am at the front row at the Academy Awards with my mother, husband and son and it's announced I have won the Oscar for my role as opera star Maria Callas.

“First I thank the Academy in English, then I speak Maria's language, Greek, then some French to thank the people at home. I look at the faces of mother, husband and son. Priceless."
