Nimisha has it easy over Nitha

Karnataka’s Nimisha Mohan hardly broke sweat during her 4-1, 4-0 demolition of state-mate Nitha M in the girls under-16 section of the Good Earth Super Series tennis tournament which got under way at the KSLTA courts on Monday. Fourth-seeded Rachitha Sarda overcame a fighting Nidhi of Andhra Pradesh 2-4, 4-2, 5-3.

Earlier in the day, Indian tennis legend Vijay Amritraj lauded the sponsors for promoting junior tennis. “Junior tennis is where our future is. It is heartening to see sponsors coming forward to promote the juniors,” said Amritraj.
