Deccan Herald » State » Detailed Story
More interesting than cricket
DH News Service, Bangalore:

With the political drama taking a new turn, a huge number of people were glued to their television sets for the latest updates. If the rush in front of TV shops was any indicator, then the political drama was more interesting than an India-Pakistan cricket match.

Not only had all television shops switched to Kannada news channels, but also at homes, people stayed put in front of their television sets to watch what was in store for Yeddyurappa, who was chief minister of the State for merely seven days.

A huge number of people stopped by at the Deccan Herald office on Monday afternoon, to find out whether the government had collapsed. Most phone calls were also related to the political developments. While some callers criticised the JD(S) for not keeping their word, others appreciated the JD-S for treating appropriately the ‘communal BJP’.
