Prez rule keeps coalition hopes alive in Gowda  
In the heart of heart JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda might have entertained hopes that the Congress might approach him to explore an alternative coalition in Karnataka in the wake of the fall of the Yeddyurappa Ministry, though he was in no mood to make the first move.
Govt to move Parliament on Prez rule  
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister and government spokesman Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi said on Tuesday that the government would seek at the "earliest opportunity" Parliament's ratification for the imposition of Central rule on Karnataka and for the dissolution of the Assembly.
Gowda blames BJP for collapse  
It was "ironical" that the very same party which proposed the idea of signing a pact on stamp paper refused to sign the agreement on the lines proposed by him, H D Deve Gowda told a press conference here on Tuesday afternoon.
