AGORC score over HMT
Accountant General Office Recreation Club beat Hindustan Machine Tools 4-1 in the State ‘B’ Division hockey league on Tuesday.

Purusha scored a brace (42nd, 51st) while Milan (44th) and Belliappa (50th) found the target once each for winners. Keerthi (9th) netted for HMT.

Other results: MEG Boys: 2 ( Uday Bara 36th, 42nd) bt SHB, Gadag: 0; MDHA: 2 (Vachan 15th, Rajendraswany 43rd) bt Rangers: 1 (Shah Nawaz 12th).  

Surana edge past SBMJC
Surana edged past SBMJC 3-2 in a Dr Isaac Abraham memorial hockey tournament in Bangalore on Tuesday. Ayappa shot Surana into lead four minutes into the game. Nilesh increased the tally with his 14th-minute effort. Minutes before the break SBMJC pulled one back through Md Naimuddin (31st minute) as Surana went into the break with a 2-1 lead. On resumption, Nachappa made it 3-1 in favour of Surana in the 49th minute. Though SBMJC brought in their second goal via Cariappa (55th), Surana had the last laugh.

MVIT register huge win
M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology posted a 102-run victory over Sapthagiri College of Engineering in the quarterfinal of the inter-engineering T20 cricket tournament on Tuesday.
