“I am contemplating to launch a regional party. I am deeply hurt with the recent political developments...I am under severe pressure from the MLAs to take an independent decision,” he told Deccan Herald.
But Kumaraswamy skirted all questions in this regard.
He did not reveal why he is hurt, nor did he clarify whether he will severe ties with the JD (S) and its national president H D Deve Gowda.
Guidance
It is also not known whether he will continue to take the guidance of Gowda in future or not. “I cannot answer any questions at this juncture,” he stated.
Asked when exactly the new outfit will come into existence, he said he is presently holding consultations with the party MLAs and it will take sometime.
“There is a need for a regional party to address the aspirations of people and to focus on the State’s development. My idea has evoked good response from JD (S) MLAs. Those willing to join me are welcome,” he said. However, his elder brother H D Revanna rubbished the new party proposal. “Let me tell you, Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy are always one. They cannot go independently. We will also fight the coming elections unitedly,” he stated.
