At its legislature party meeting on Tuesday, a section of MLAs are said to have expressed their displeasure against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa for putting the party’s interest at stake for fulfiling his personal ambitions.
At Tuesday’s meeting, a few legislators are said to have opined that JD (S) should not have been trusted after it refused to hand over power in October this year. The party’s image had taken a beating after it realigned with the JD (S).
Some legislators also sought revamping of the core committee and constitution of a new election committee, the sources added.
Some senior leaders had already petitioned the party high command in New Delhi on the style of functioning of Yeddyurappa. They have accused Yeddyurappa of sidelining and ignoring them by taking “unilateral decisions”.
