Kannada medium students of Angadimogaru Government Higher Secondary School staged a protest by wearing black badges demanding that they be given all the educational facilities provided to Malayalam medium students.

Students studying in Kannada medium schools must be given question papers typed in Kannada also and must be allowed to answer the questions in Kannada, the students demanded the Minister for Education. The State Sub-Curriculum Committee has rejected the proposal placed by Manjeshwar MLA C H Kunhambu in the Vidhan Sabha and thus neglected the problems faced by Kannada medium students. The students demanded that the demands must be fulfilled in the present academic year itself.
