Addressing reporters at the Udupi Sri Krishna temple, Yeddyurappa said he has the support of 129 MLAs who have visited the Governor and submitted their personal affidavit in his support. He said the government will be formed based on conditions settled between H D Kumaraswamy and himself 20 months ago.
Citing examples of Bihar, Jharkand and Goa, Yediyurappa said there is no need to consult Supreme Court on the issue. Praising PM Dr Manmohan Singh for his statesmanship, Yediyurappa said that Singh is in favor of the formation of coalition Government in the State.
Coming down heavily on Congress leaders, he said Congressmen were unsuccessful to form the Government in spite of their lots of efforts.
Yeddyurappa visited Karkala Venkatramana temple and Belmannu Durgaparameshwari Temple before arriving to Udupi. Yeddyurappa commenting on the conditions laid by Supremo Deve Gowda in a separate press meet at Belmannu Durgaparameshwari Temple said that these were the rumors created by the media, and he further declined to comment on the issue.
He was accompanied by BJP leaders Dr V S Acharya, Sadanand Gowda, Nagaraj Shetty and Capt. Karnik during his visit.
