Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Cyriac Joseph on Thursday called upon students to look beyond their academic performance and strive towards developing holistic personality. He was speaking at the presentation of the 14th Excellence Awards instituted by the Christian Employees Movement. He asked them to note that the marks secured in examinations alone would not guarantee success in professional careers.
Awards presented: A total of 21 PUC students, 35 SSLC students, eight rural SSLC students, seven ICSE students and 34 teachers were honoured on Thursday. Elizabeth Thomas (PUC, Jyothi Nivas PU College, 559 marks), Joewin Monteiro (SSLC, St Joseph’s HS, Briand Square, 601 marks), Annamma S (Rural SSLC, St James HS, Mariannapalya, 522 marks) and Shani Constin P N (ICSE, St Charles HS, 662 marks) cornered the top honours of the day.
