Texas Instruments Incorporated, on Wednesday, announced the Texas Instruments Developer Conference (TIDC) India will be held on November 29 and 30, 2007 at Bangalore. The pre-TIDC India hands-on tutorials will also be held at Bangalore two days prior to the event on November 27 and 28, 2007. DBS Chola MF’s new fund
DBS Chola Mutual Fund, on Wednesday, announced the launch of its DBS Chola Small Cap Fund, a three year close-ended fund, reports PTI from Chennai. The fund would seek to generate long-term appreciation by investing predominantly in equity and equity related instruments of companies with small market capitalization, R Rajagopal, Chief Investment Officer, DBS Chola MF said. The scheme would offer both cumulative and dividend options and units will be offered at Rs 10 per unit. The minimum application amount will be Rs 5000 and in multiples of Re one thereafter. The NFO, which opened on Tuesday, closes on December 20, 2007.
Reliance Life for health insurance
Reliance Life, plans to foray into the health insurance space in the current fiscal, a top company official said in Mumbai on Wednesday, reports PTI from Mumbai. The company is also planning a capital infusion of Rs 1,500-1,800-crore into its insurance business over the next three years. “We will apply to the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) in the current fiscal for selling health insurance products,” Reliance Life CEO P Nandagopal said. “Considering the current growth momentum, an additional capital of Rs 1,500-crore will be infused by 2010. However, this may go up to Rs 1,800-crore, according to the needs of the company,”
Nandagopal said. The company also has plans to increase its geographical presence to 1,000 cities, from the current number of 500 cities.
