He shops on her card

 A woman’s ‘absent-mindedness’ made her poorer by Rs 14,000.

According to the police, Rashmi Bhoopanna withdraw cash from HDFC Bank ATM on Airport Road on Saturday, but left the place without taking the card back.

A man, on finding the debit card in the machine, not only withdrew cash but also changed the password. He even went shopping.

Rashmi realised the card loss only on Saturday night. When she called the bank, she was told nothing could be done as it was a Sunday and the card could be blocked only on Monday.

When she checked her bank balance on Monday, she found it was Rs 14,230 less.
She has lodged a complaint with the Airport police.

Boy mowed down

A 12-year-old boy was mowed down by an earth mover near Kundalahalli in K R Puram police station limits on Tuesday. The boy, Shivram Gowda, got caught under the wheels of the vehicle, when he was playing.

Schoolboy ends life

Upset over adopted parents pestering him to take up studies seriously, schoolboy Gopi (15) committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at his Deara Chickanahalli residence in Mico Layout police station limits on Tuesday evening.

Techie robbed

A software engineer was waylaid and robbed near 17th Main BTM Layout on Tuesday night.
Srikantha Takarapalli, working for Satyam Computers, was on his way to his friends place when three miscreants waylaid and threatened him at knife point.
They forcibly snatched his gold chain, bracelet, wallet and a mobile phone.
